Orangeburgh German-Swiss Genealogical Society - A must visit site for anyone doing research on Orangeburgh genealogy.

Deedmapper - from Direct Line Software is the program I use to map and locate land plats.  This site contains information about the software as well as information about land records and research.

South Carolina Department of Archives and History - The archives is the source for copies of the colonial and state plats used in my research.  They now have an on-line index to all of their plats. Colonial plats are available to view online but state plats must be copied at the archives or copies ordered from them.

Giessendanner Book of Record - available on this website thanks to the wonderful work done by Joop Giesendanner.  These records are also available in published form but this website has the most accurate translations and transcriptions of them.
